Brave Futures Snow Dash – Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to all participants taking part in the Brave Futures Snow Dash (“the Event”), a 3km family fun run held at Nowton Park, Bury St Edmunds. By registering for and participating in the Event, you agree to the following:

1. Event Details

  • The Snow Dash is a non-competitive, fun run designed to raise funds for Brave Futures (registered charity number 1149347).
  • The route is approximately 3km within Nowton Park, Bury St Edmunds.
  • The Event will take place in all weather conditions except extreme weather. Brave Futures reserves the right to alter, postpone, or cancel the Event if necessary for safety reasons.

2. Registration and Fees

  • All participants must complete registration and pay the required entry fee in advance.
  • Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable, except in the event of cancellation by Brave Futures.
  • Participants under 18 must be registered by a parent or guardian, who accepts full responsibility for their participation.

3. Participant Requirements

  • All participants enter at their own risk and must ensure they are physically fit and able to take part.
  • Participants should consult a doctor if they have any health concerns.
  • Children under 12 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times during the Event.
  • Suitable clothing and footwear must be worn for outdoor winter conditions.

4. Health and Safety

  • First aid cover will be available during the Event. Participants must follow all instructions given by marshals, volunteers, and event staff.
  • Dogs are not permitted on the course.
  • Participants must remain on the designated course and be mindful of other park users.
  • Brave Futures reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any participant who is acting irresponsibly or unsafely.

5. Liability

  • Participants enter the Event at their own risk. Brave Futures, its staff, volunteers, and partners cannot accept responsibility for any loss, damage, injury, or death arising from participation, except where caused by negligence on the part of Brave Futures.
  • Participants must follow all safety instructions and marshals’ guidance.
  • Children under 12 must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
  • Participants are responsible for their own personal belongings; Brave Futures accepts no liability for lost or damaged items.

6. Photography and Media

  • By taking part in the Event, participants (and parents/guardians of child participants) consent to being photographed and/or filmed for promotional purposes by Brave Futures.
  • If you do not wish to be photographed, please inform an event organiser on the day.

7. Data Protection

  • Personal data collected during registration will be used for the administration of the Event, communication with participants, and follow-up purposes, including thanking participants for taking part.
  • All data will be handled in accordance with Brave Futures’ Data Protection Policy.
  • Participants’ details will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes without consent.
