As part of the Metal Recycling Scheme run by the Institute of Cemetery and Crematorium Management, Ipswich Borough Council have generously donated £17,000 to Brave Futures.
With prior consent from loved ones, the national scheme recycles metals recovered from cremations and donates the proceeds to local charities. Ipswich Borough Council presented Brave Futures with the proceeds of 2025’s money generated from this scheme.
“We are incredibly grateful to have been selected as the recipient of this generous donation. This remarkable gift will have a lasting impact on the children and young people we support, enabling us to deliver hundreds of specialist support sessions for those recovering from the trauma of sexual abuse.
At a time when referrals continue to increase and our waiting list continues to grow, funding like this is more important than ever. Every session delivered provides a child with specialist support, helping them process their experiences, rebuild their confidence and take positive steps towards reclaiming their childhood. We would like to extend our sincere thanks for choosing Brave Futures and for making such a meaningful investment in the lives of children and young people when they need it most.”
